6 Best Waterfront Restaurants in Falmouth MA (2024 Edition)

Nothing is better than enjoying a great meal (or a couple of drinks) after a day golfing, then a view of the ocean. Luckily, there are many options for waterfront restaurants in Falmouth MA, on Cape Cod – but here are some of the best after a day at the beach or site seeing.

Here is a breakdown of my top choices, including the closest golf courses. The two areas in Falmouth with the most scenic waterfront views are either Woods Hole or Falmouth Heights.

This guide will share the address of the restaurants. I’ll also include an online ordering link (if available). And, of course, the most popular dishes you should try.

I’ve listed casual and fine dining options so you can enjoy the view regardless of your budget. If you are looking for breakfast while in Falmouth, here are some great restaurants and bagel shops.

Waterfront Restaurants in Falmouth MA

You can’t be on the Cape and not go to a restaurant with an ocean view – it is part of why this area is unique.

The best waterfront restaurants in Falmouth MA can get pretty busy during the summer, so plan ahead and make reservations (if possible).

Falmouth is also gorgeous in the “off” season – many locals consider September to be the best month there (beautiful weather, fewer crowds).

Waterfront restaurants in Woods Hole MA

Woods Hole Harbour is a small area with limited street parking, so keep that in mind as you plan your night out. There are also patches of cobblestones so please use caution if you have mobility issues.

Between the ferry to the Vineyard, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, and all the restaurants, it can be a congested area, especially on weekends in the summer.

But the busyness is a good sign – great food and a fun area to explore. Lots of Falmouth waterfront restaurants and bars to enjoy.

Landfall Restaurant

With some of the most popular views in Falmouth, the Landfall is a historic waterfront restaurant in Woods Hole.

Enjoy all the standard New England food (clam chowder, fish and chips, lobster rolls, etc.) on the Woods Hole harbor. Perfect place to enjoy a cocktail while you wait for the ferry to the Vineyard.

There are outdoor seats, but in order to get a water view with your dinner, you have to sit inside. Yes, to enjoy this waterfront restaurant in Falmouth MA you have to get a table by the windows.

Shucker’s

Diagonally across from Landfall Restaurant is the smaller restaurant Shucker’s. There are quite a few restaurants in Woods Hole Harbour, which is small, so you can check out a few places or grab a cocktail at each one.

Seating and tables at Shucker’s are directly on the water near the boats. Highly recommend anything from their raw bar; the freshly squeezed cocktails are amazing.
