Golf courses in Bridgewater MA
West Bridgewater Country Club
Formerly known as River Bend Country Club, this public golf course initially opened in 1999 in the town of West Bridgewater.
The first nine holes are a classic design of golf that are all about open space on the fairways, but you will be playing along the Town River, so there are water hazards and a constant wind to challenge you.
The back 9 has tree-lined fairways, so make sure you’ve got your club selection down pat and hit those shots with precision.
The compact design adds a challenge to playing so just be prepared. This course is always available for a convenient tee time and is a nice golf course to challenge you every round.

My recommended local restaurant for post-golf dinner/drinks: Barrett’s Alehouse (674 West Center St in West Bridgewater)
Olde Scotland Links
695 Pine Street
Bridgewater, MA 02324

Looking for a recreational facility golf course that’s both challenging and fun? Look no further than OSL. Designed by the legendary Brian Silva, this hole links-style championship public course is perfect for golfers of all skill levels, with five tees ranging from under 5,000 to nearly 6,800 yards.
And not only is OSL a great place to play, but it is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Bird Sanctuary Golf Course – one of only nine in Massachusetts and just 473 worldwide.
Olde Scotland Links has even been rated One of the 25 Best Public Access Courses in New England by New England Golf Monthly. Food and beverages at OSL is provided by Barrett’s Alehouse (the restaurant I recommended previously) so you know the food is good.
The course is located off of Route 495 or Route 24, and is within 30 minutes of both Cape Cod and the greater Boston area (depending on traffic 😉).
My recommended local restaurant for breakfast before golf: Sunnyside Cafe (150 West Center St in West Bridgewater)
Ridder Farm Golf Course
390 Oak Street
East Bridgewater, MA 0233
781-447-9003
This Bridgewater golf course was originally a dairy farm run by the Ridder family in the early 1900s. This 18-hole golf course is very simple: wide, flat, and open. I enjoy playing here because it’s nice not to worry about getting too technical or precise with your shots.
From the tips it plays just over 5900 yards with a par of 70 and this blue tees – rating is 68.1. It sneakily presents a challenge because you have to rely on your yardage and accuracy to try to score low. The front 9 was designed by Henry Holhman In 1961 and the back nine was completed in 1965 by designer Geoff Cornish.
This is a perfect course for any average golfer looking to practice and gain confidence in their game. I love the layout of this course, and it’s always kept nice.
You get value for your money, and the pace of play is always good at this Bridgewater golf course. Another bonus is that there are bathrooms and vending machines spread around the course.
My recommended local restaurant for breakfast before golf: Cowbells Cafe (25 South Avenue in Whitman)

Pine Oaks Golf Course
68 Prospect Street
South Easton, MA 02375

Discover the beautiful and challenging 9-hole “Pine Oaks” course located at Joe & Leigh’s Pine Oaks Golf Course facility in South Easton, Massachusetts.
With a total yardage of 3,041 from the longest tees, this course offers a par of 34 and a course rating of 69.5. The course slope rating of 122 on Bent Grass ensures a challenging yet rewarding experience for golfers of all skill levels.
Designed in 1964 by Geoffrey Cornish and Bill Robinson, Pine Oaks Golf Course is a must-visit destination for avid golfers seeking the challenge of golf with stunning views and a great atmosphere. The course small business course has a clever blend of trees that challenge any skill level.
The well-groomed fairways and greens make this course an easy choice for regular rounds of golf or a fun day out with friends. You can use the staff and PGA coaches who can help you improve your game.
They also have an extensive pro shop – there is also a section of the golf shop that is a “swap shop” for used golf gear.
I recently went there with my wife, who is learning to play, and we got some used clubs for super cheap. The PGA coach was also helpful and answered all her questions, and they also offer the chance to buy a gift certificate for anyone you know who loves golf.
My recommended local restaurant for post-golf dinner/drinks: Tommy Doyle’s Pub and Grille (956 Washington St in Easton)
Easton Country Club
265 Purchase Street
South Easton, MA 02356
508-238-2500
Rounding out the golf courses near Bridgewater MA is Easton Country Club. The Easton CC is a must-visit destination for golf enthusiasts in southeastern Massachusetts. This 18-hole semi-private golf course, located in the town of Easton, is known for its welcoming atmosphere and relaxing vibe.
The semi-private course caters to members and non-members of all skill levels. It has four sets of tees and well-maintained greens and fairways, and offers club rentals if needed. It has a full service golf shop to set you up with any needs.
The greens are noteworthy, as they are widely regarded as some of the best in the area – offering a quick pace and a true roll. Players should use strategic thinking as they navigate the course’s various hole designs, which offer layup and high-risk/reward options.
Easton CC also has a natural grass driving range and a putting green. Personally, I appreciate the natural grass driving range as a spot to get some reps in, but make sure the greens have dried out. With the rain or bad weather, it can get pretty soaked at the range.
My recommended local spot for coffee or muffins or cupcakes (or anything delicious) before golf: White’s Bakery & Cafe ( 1041 Pearl St in Brockton)
And those are the top golf courses near Bridgewater MA. If you want to head a little further outside for a nearby course to Bridgewater for golf, check out D.W. Field Golf Course (muni course in Brockton), Lakeville Country Club, and Poquoy Brook Golf Club (both in Lakeville).
Also in Lakeville is Heritage Hill, formerly The Back Nine Club, which is under new ownership so I’m curious to see what they’ve done – if you played the updated course, let me know what you think.
What do you think of these Bridgewater golf courses? Would you add anything to the list? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
